The OSCAR Greenroom by Roger Thomas

SOURCE: Styleture.com

Architectural Digest has awarded Roger Thomas the honor of designing the greenroom for tomorrow's Oscar Awards.  His inspiration for the room was the sparkle and romance of legendary Hollywood. The guests will be able to relax Golden Era-style.

He amplifies a black and white room with varying shades in between—platinum, blonde and silver—and creates light and movement with reflective materials such as glass objects, metal occasional tables and mirrored walls that were popular interior design elements of the period.

"My fondest memories are cinematic moments,” said Thomas.  “The films have as much to do with set design as they do the action.”    The focal point of this year’s Architectural Digest Greenroom will be a paint-splattered floor, inspired by the scenic departments of Hollywood studio lots.

Roger Thomas is the master-mind behind the design of the Wynn LasVegas, as well as Encore.  This puts him at the top of my list of interior designer I admire.  If you have ever stepped foot inside the Wynn you know exactly what I am talking about!  If not, please check out the Wynn's site and this fab post from Paris Hotel Boutique Journal.

That being said, I had ventured over to the Roger Thomas site to scope out his collections. Ahh, I DIE. Go ahead and see for yourself!
