'Tis the season

And now, my favorite part of the holidays - the GORGEOUS window displays!
Bergdorf Goldman wins over my heart this season (click photo to view).

(love the flower on the back of the dress)

These next windows are over the top!
Pay attention to the detailing people...

(this is one is my fave)

All I want for Christmas...

Tea, anyone?
I adore Henri Bendel's tea set.
Maybe dear ol' Santa will leave it under my tree!

The first *snow* fall of the season!

I love the city when it's covered in snow (well, most of the time).

Jaslyn & I enjoyed a snowball fight outside the 72nd St. subway station.
And you can't help but laugh at everyone slipping and sliding along Central Park.

Just in time for the holidays

I am obsessed with these red pumps from Steve Madden.
Retail price $89, however I bought them for $55 thanks to a sale Macy's was having!
You can find these at Nordstorm on sale for $69.

They also come in grey or black....

TUTU-erffic

"Hello Darrrling..."
(talking to the mannequin)

On our way to a friend's birthday celebration, Ani and I decided to do a little window shopping. One of the many benefits of living in the city.

As you can tell I adore the tutu inspired look on display at COACH Columbus Circle. The beret (or as I call it, my 'Justin-Bobby' hat) is hot for this fall/winter. This trend is showing up every where!

I hope you a take moment to appreciate Ani's America's Next Top Model pose.

NYU & Parson's students and alumni showcase their work on the catwalk.
Here are some highlights from the show...

Unfortunately my camera battery died before intermission.
Check out Next Stop Go for photography that is high-quality.

Holiday Gift Idea! (for the person who has everything)

I know there has to be someone on your list that you have absolutely NO idea what to get them.

Well, I have the perfect gift idea for them...

Make a donation to a charity in their name. In times like this we need to realize how important it is to give back. If you have a roof over your head, food to eat and clothes on your back you can afford to give back. Especially as Americans it's so easy for us to get caught up in "keeping up with The Jones" and the "give me, give me, give me's "(just take a look at why we need a 7 billion dollar bailout!!).

I plan on donating to the Keep A Child Alive organization on behalf of a family member on my list. I happened to catch Alicia Keys talking about this organization on a talk show last week. Of course what did me in was seeing the conditions these children face day to day in Africa. Did you know donating $5,000 can cover the cost of a child's education, food, medical and housing for an entire year?! Compared to our living expenses that is pocket change.

I know I probably sound like an info-mmerical right now, but not only are you giving the gift of giving, maybe you will influence that person to give as well.

What a beautiful cycle that would be.

Marc gets naked for Louis

I came across this article online at Harper's Bazaar. Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton teamed up with graffti artist Stephen Sprouse in the late '90s. Sprouse was believed to be the first artist to eliminate any boundaries between art, fashion, music and design. The three worked together to create a twist on the ordinary.

Sprouse died at the age of 50 in 2004. Jacobs & Vuitton are relaunching this collection as a homage to Sprouse with relaunching the bag along with clothing and accessories...

Holiday Gift Idea! (for girls)

Today I was introduced to Madonna's children books series The English Roses. Madonna touches upon real-life situtations girls ages 8+ can relate to. Such as cliques, jealousy, etc.

I love the illustrations by Jeffrey Fulvimari. I am hopping onto Amazon.com to purchase this book for a few little ladies on my Christmas list.

A Carrie Knockoff

Today's post is dedicated to the brides who want to channel Carrie's wedding day look.

Straight from PAGE SIX -

Women who craved Carrie Bradshaw's Vivienne Westwood wedding dress from the "Sex and The City" movie are finally getting their chance to own one just like it. Gabriella Risatti, owner of Gabriella New York bridal salon in the Meatpacking District, is making reproductions of the dress for $15,000 tomorrow and Thursday only. "We are taking measurements those two days, but only 30 dresses will be made," Risatti told us.
