Well, that's just fabulous

Despite the rumors of tickets being sold out, Adri and I saw an afternoon showing of the SATC Movie. The movie was every thing I expected and MORE. Leave it to my girls! I had goose bumps at the end - which I will not reveal - especially when everyone in the theater started clapping. It is truly a movie to be watched with your best friends. I could watch it again...right now...seriously.

Hats off to Patricia Fields, the stylist for the movie. All four were dressed on-point throughout the movie. You can tell each outfit was thought out in a great detail. Ugh, what I would do to have access to the SATC costume closet. I was definitely inspired, so watch out!

More details on SATC Fashion to come.

...and I'm back!

After taking a hiatus for a few weeks, I am back in action. Although May has been a busy month, it's an exciting one! Tomorrow is the opening of the Sex and The City Movie. How excited am I to have my four favorite ladies back in my life? VERY. Expect complete mayhem in the city tomorrow. Rumor has it tickets are all ready sold out for tomorrow - damnit.

Wishing you a fabulous weekend...

Magnolia moves on up...to the WEST side!

In preparation of my birthday celebration, Joy and I headed to Magnolia Bakery's new location on the Upper West Side (Columbus Avenue between 69th and 70th St.) to pick up a dozen cupcakes. I promised I would report my first outing to the new location. The new location is more spacious than the original downtown bakery. You can even enjoy your treat inside of the bakery. Overall, the new Magnolia gets two thumbs up.

Operation: Fairy Dust

I know many of you are in the process spring cleaning your closets. Still have that prom dress from 1999? Well put that dress towards a good cause!

Check out Operation Fairy Dust...

Operation Fairy Dust is a program of the New York Benefit & Aid Committee for Kids, Inc. (NY BACKed), a nonprofit organization founded by young professionals and graduate students to help local charities for children through financial contributions and volunteer support.

Operation Fairy Dust was created in 2002 to provide NYC high school girls in need, with formal prom dresses. This gives them the ability to attend their prom with confidence, and an increased level of self-esteem. The prom is one of the largest social events of a teenager's high school years. This rite of passage is expensive, and although most teens hope to attend the event, they are often unable to meet the costs to participate. Operation Fairy Dust (OFD) helps these young women by offering them dresses, cosmetics, and accessories.

Alice and Olivia for Payless

There seems to be a common trend going on - big name designers designing for lower end stores. And I am NOT complaining! I happen to pass by the Payless near Grand Central Station and noticed a pair of Alice and Olivia flats in the window. Low and behold, these designer pair of shoes cost me $30! I strongly recommend you scope out the goods at Payless.
